What Causes Dyslexia?

Introduction:

It is good to explain that Dyslexia is not a disease but a specific developmental disorder that makes it challenging to learn to read and write. And the level of intelligence in people affected by it is normal or even above average.

Brain imaging shows that Dyslexia has a neurobiological basis. A specific group of neurons and glial cells do not migrate properly during fetal development, which creates disorganization in the brain areas involved in reading and writing processes.

In other words, a person with Dyslexia has abnormalities that occur in his brain that prevent the proper functioning of some primary linguistic component related to learning to read and write.
